Carpet Stores I Recommend

Jack Smith • Aug 22, 2023

I Get Asked This Question All The Time.

Just about every week I get asked, "What carpet store do you recommend for buying new carpet"?

I am sure there are many great and reputable carpet (flooring) stores in the Winter Haven, Lakeland area. Just like there are several good carpet cleaners near me in the same area.

There are two that I will suggest to my customers without hesitation. so without further delay here are the THREE carpet stores I recommend for anyone living in the Polk County area. No matter if you are in Winter Haven, Lakeland, Bartow, Ft. Meade, Auburndale, Haines City or Davenport.

In no certain order.....

  1. Tucker Carpets The Tucker family has been in the Winter Haven area for many years. I personally have a connection with the Tuckers since my childhood. My grandmother had a daycare in her home and she cared for a few of the Tucker children while they were little. Our families go way back.  However this is not the only reason I recommend the Tuckers. The fact that they have been in business for so long in this area and have an outstanding customer rating allows me to feel comfortable in referring them to my customers. The final reason that I like Tucker Carpets is because of their connection with Flooring America. Flooring America is a nationwide flooring retailer that has over 500 stores each being locally owned and operated in their respective communities. You get the hometown warmth at Tucker Carpets while knowing their products and service is backed up by a nationwide support.
  2. Blackburn's Interiors Wally Blackburn is the owner of Blackburn's Interiors working alongside several other Blackburns making this truly a family business. The store was started in 1962 by Wally's parents. They have occupied several locations in the past 61 years but they now have a large 8000 sq. ft. showroom on Havendale Blvd in Winter Haven. I again know the Blackburn family and have been close acquaintances with them for over 30 years. I whole heartedly recommend Blackburn's for flooring of all kinds as well as custom cabinets and countertops.
  3. Warehouse Flooring & Design WFD has been in the Auburndale area for 38 years or more. Their longevity is a testimony to the quality and value they provide. I know the owner Karen, we were both Rotarians together several years ago. I can speak personally about her integrity and character since I have known her for almost seven years. They have a nice showroom on US92 in the heart of Auburndale. They offer commercial and residential flooring of all kinds and will come to your location for an in person estimate.

Like I said I recommend these three carpet stores without hesitation. They all are wonderful businesses and provide excellent service. Which one is best for you? Well that is for you to decide. Don't worry though you can't really go wrong regardless which one you choose!

If your couch has a "dry clean only" label or has a fabric cleaning code of "S", it is best to follow the manufacturer's instructions to avoid damaging the fabric. However, if you need to clean it yourself, you can try the following steps: Vacuum the couch thoroughly to remove any loose dirt and debris. Check for any stains or spots and treat them with a specialized fabric cleaner designed for dry clean only fabrics. Always test the cleaner in an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't damage the fabric. If the entire couch needs cleaning, you can try using a fabric cleaning foam or solvent designed for dry clean only fabrics. Apply the foam or solvent according to the manufacturer's instructions and use a soft-bristled brush to gently work it into the fabric. Use a clean, damp cloth to remove the foam or solvent, being careful not to saturate the fabric. Allow the couch to air dry completely before using it again. It's important to note that cleaning a dry clean only couch yourself carries some risk of damaging the fabric. If you are unsure or uncomfortable about cleaning it yourself, it is best to seek the services of a professional cleaner.
